This week I was just stressed and I can't say why... I really struggled with this painting and am still not happy with it but am moving on.. Laura looked at a it a few days ago and said it wasn't me.. no color.. I agreed. So I worked on trying to put some life back into it today..

This is a little glass dog that held wine once upon a time.. on the bottom it has 'Cohodas Vineyards, Inc, Geneva, Ohio. We have 30 acres with a deep ravine out back and once upon a time the farm that was here dumped all their garbage over the edge of the ravine, and when I get a chance, I go see what has been unearthed by the rain.. My whole family rolls their eyes when I come up with my treasures, but I do find some fun things!

I'm glad you stuck with it. I think this painting has a nice feeling with the soft lighting. How wonderful you rescue these little gems and painted this one for everyone to see.

I think it is successful. The reflections on the glass are great! the dog has the look of a noble heir, defiantly worthy of holding wine!

You really understand light and smooth surfaces. I agree that this painting does feel noble.

This is an unusual subject.
You are brave to paint glass.
In my own opinion it as worked.

This little dog sure seems like a priceless find! I think he came out fine...a dark reflective presence.

What a treat it is to see what you have done with an inspiration from the Cohodas Vineyards, Inc. Wine Doggies.

I have a nostalgic interest in the doggies because I helped to bottle the wine in them. I am the Grandson of the proprietor and lived on the property that contained the farm, vineyards, winery, diary, etc. during that period.

I can provide historical information on this enterprise, should you need it.

Thanks for resurrecting many fond memories.
