Cats portrait titled Whispers

I really wanted to work on a portrait this week and work on blending and layering skin tones... This is a painting I did of my oldest daughter... she turns 20 on Sunday and this will be her first birthday we haven't celebrated together! :( I am so proud of the woman she has become but miss my little girl at the same time..

Titled, "Whispers"

36" x 48"

My baby girl turned 21 this year. I so well understand your excitement and wistfulness!

This is a beautiful painting. Delicate and strong at the same time.

So beautiful, both your daughter and your painting! My daughter turned 20 last month and it was our first we did not celebrate together, too.

Happy Birthday to cat tomorrow...my kindred spirit I've yet to meet! I love the painting...but how could you go wrong considering the subject matter! I love the compostion, the gentle hair flip, the eye is so intense and thoughtful at the same time. Awesome...no matter what you paint!
