This old phone is another treasure from my studio... Once upon a time we actually had it as a working phone... and the kids, being much younger and not realizing it was connected, dialed 911 on it... We had to have a little chit chat about it after the police called to see what our emergency was.. so now I have to keep it around... sentimental attachment :)

I believe this is a rebellion painting against all the detail of the last painting... nice and simple!! Titled "Call Me" 36" x 48"

This reminds me of Edward Hopper's work. I like the composition!

P.S Have you seen any large toads lately? I need one for a photo.

Your work is great. Please don't tell me you painted a 36" x 48" in a single day or I will have to give up painting forever.

Thank you! Laura, no toads yet... but just saw a HUGELY GIGANTIC one on tv from the Columbus zoo... It's not that far away.. maybe you can get a picture there... r garriott, not usually, but sometimes my painting days are really long... :)

Everything about this painting is wonderful! The simplicity vying with the complex!
I also love the generous helping of nostalgia!

Your "kids" dialed 911? I don't THINK so!
That was all Ty. I wasn't even home when that happened...
