Ever have one of those days? ...or couple of days... where nothing seems to go right? I know that they are often balanced by good days.. BUT.. today the good days seem far away! I spent yesterday TOTALLY overworking Karin Juricks current challenge of an old San Fransisco Victorian... wiped it off twice! Changed format and painted it much smaller today ... 3 1/2" x 5".. like it a bit better but don't love it. Also thought maybe I'd work in a more limited pallete for a while and see if that helps loosen things up a bit. Here's the second painting...

Hi Sally, I like your take on the Victorian! Haven’t been brave enough to start mine yet.
In response to you and others who wrote about the difficulties of photographing artwork at times, I've started a series of Photoshop Tips on my blog.
Today's is about using the Color Adjustments function, and although it's a different shade of painting, I hope the basic directions will help you out. If you have questions, please ask!
Thank you so much!! I am going to spend a bit of today working on better, more accurate images! I have been so intent on painting that everyhting else has been a distant second priority, but I realize that doesn't make good business sense. So.... today will be the day to get my act together, and get good images using your tutorial! Thanks again!!
I think this painting is great, Sally! It just has it all together!
Aww, Thanks Dean! I sure had a hard time with this one... which is funny because I wasn't apprehensive going into it...you never know!! I appreciate the encouragement!!
This is the third blog with that same house - must be some kind of class - it is interesting to view the three different styles. I've enjoyed looking at your work.
The orange look so real I took a bite.
Sally, this is a beautiful little painting. It's the loose colourful look that I find so appealing. Didn't see it on Karin's blog???
Wonderful job, Sally, really nice loose brushwork and beautiful colors!
